The Church has always taught that you (yes you) are a someone, not a something, and that you are made to be known. By God first, and then by the people around you.
That happens every week here at SSPJ. After every Mass, our priests are standing at the door. They shake your hand, ask how your week went, and learn your name.
You don’t have to arrive with anything figured out.
You’ve just moved to St. James and are looking for a parish.
You’ve been away from the Church for years and aren’t sure how to walk back in.
You’re getting married, or have a baby to baptize, and don’t know what the first step is.
All of those are good reasons to come this Sunday! Sit in the back if you want to. Nobody’s going to make a fuss.
